My first play was written when I was seventeen and resulted in me being expelled from school. Since then I have done various jobs. I have driven a lighting truck through Spain with the James Bond crew (click on the barrage balloon above to hear me talking some more about this), squelched under London in pitch-dark sewers, traded antiques and sold hot chestnuts. I am the proud guardian of four chickens, two boys and a cat. My short stories are published by Ether Books and in numerous anthologies, live lit events, websites and magazines including Liar's League, One Eye Grey, Litro and the Evening Standard.

I have told tales professionally at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, in high security prison, in a medical school, on board ship, in libraries, hospitals, forests, shops and of course, pubs. I have lots of experience working with children and I lead storytelling sessions for all ages. Click here for some press...

“Thank you so much for putting on such a great show... I've had a couple of lovely emails from people saying how much fun they had- one saying their daughter didn't stop talking about it all the way home!” (Conservation Officer- London Wildlife Trust)

Some of my original fiction:

this is about the Bermondsey Queen Rat

and this is one about those people who hang around London Bridge Tube in fancy dress trying to get you to visit the London Dungeons

or check out this podcast from the lovely Liar’s League... It was recorded at the Market Estate festival in Islington- all festivals will be like this after the apocalypse...

and this one is inspired by a posting on the Fortean Times chat forum about a strange cut-out figure in Brockley...
